Data We Collect

• Server logs. Like every web server on earth, ours logs requests: IP address, timestamp, page, user agent, referrer. Kept 30 days, then rotated out. Used for stats and for noticing when something's broken.
• Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address and subscription date. Unsubscribe link in every send, and it actually works — we test it, twice a year, like a small ritual.
• Email you send us. Kept as long as the conversation is useful to either of us, then deleted or archived depending on how interesting it was.
• Advertising. Ad banners are served as plain images from our own server. We do not run third-party ad networks, retargeting pixels, or any script that follows you to other sites. Ask us how rare that makes us these days.

Cookies

The site itself sets one cookie when you dismiss the cookie notice, so the notice doesn't reappear on every page (it stores only your choice, expires after six months). The newsletter subscribe form sets a short-lived session cookie as part of the double opt-in. That's the whole list. No consent banners for advertising, because there is no advertising tracking here — the banners don't even know who you are, and they're not much for conversation anyway.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and you can object to our processing of it. Write to editor@wapdomains.com and we will sort it out within 30 days — usually much faster, since the dataset in question fits on one screen. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (contact details on their website, which is newer than ours by about a decade and looks it).

Data Transfers

Our server is in the EU. The newsletter tool is in the EU. If you're visiting from outside the EU/EEA, your data crosses borders to reach us, which is the normal way of the internet and covered by standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Liability for Links

The directory contains external links. We check them periodically (dead links get pruned, see the Nov 2025 note on the home page) but we don't run the sites on the other end. Their content and their privacy practices are their own.
